D. L. MacDonald Construction Limited was established in 1964 by the late Donald L. MacDonald (that’s where we got our name D. L.) and his wife Alice (Gallinger), who was his business partner. Prior to opening his own business, he was a truck driver and dozer operator. After forming D. L. MacDonald Construction Limited, he started with one D-6 Cat Dozer, and gradually expanded the type of machinery available in order to meet the growing customers’ demands.

Representing the second and third generation are D. L.’s daughter Joan and her husband Gordon McCosham, as well as their son Justin. The McCoshams have continued to expand the family business over the years with the addition of screened topsoil sales, as well as culvert sales and floating services.
